For the love of Pinterest!

How bloggers get their inspiration is something that simply amazes me. As I sit here typing away on my laptop at the dining room table; Kris sitting across from me fixing a friends computer, (in a state of pure concentration, and tech glory I might add) I'm stumped. How do I begin our blogging adventure?

I'm not one of those super crafty, creative and artsy gals by any means.  In reality, I feel like crying when I browse the isles of craft stores like Hobby Lobby because there are so many great crafty items, but I lack the creativity to make anything that doesn't look like a preschool craft project out of them!
To be honest, I'm just not crafty..without the help of Pinterest anyway!

If you don't have a Pinterest account yet, it's probably for the best. The site is ADDICTING! The idea of the site is to organize ideas. You start off by browsing various ideas such as recipes, DIY crafts, home furniture restorations , fashion ideas, baby nursery painting tips, wedding decorations etc. Once you find something you like you save it by "pinning" it to a "board". Before you know it you've got ten boards filled with different ideas and can't wait to start!
Pinterest allows everyone, regardless of craft skill level to have fun & create something worth keeping.
I even feel like even guys could learn to love Pinterest (Though I can't seem to get Kris to agree with that statement yet). There are categories for technology, science & nature, men's fashion, sports, tattoos, humor, travel & more!

Check out Pinterest for yourself & see what catches your eye, but first...
Here is my own list of lessons I've learned from Pinterest:
1. ModPodge is your best friend.
2. Make sure to cover up the table before getting "crafty". (Sorry hubby!)
3. The dollar store turns your dreams into a reality!
4. It doesn't matter how it turns out, as long as you had fun making it.
5. Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries will never be the same after they've unwrapped your awesome homemade gift!

Need some ideas? Head to Pinterest!

I printed my vows on tissue paper(using my printer) then used ModPodge to put it on a canvas!
This is one of those crafts that didn't' turn out...
at least it was fun to make!
 Crock pot Beer Chicken!
I combined some of the greeting cards we received from our wedding & made them into a book!
I turned an old bottle into a soap dispenser!
